GOODBYE 2005!
Everyone here at GFAH would like to thank all of you that helped us help our local wildlife over the past year. With your help we raised almost $300.00 to help maintain our wildlife program. Thanks to your donations we were able to help over 190 animals. Once again we had quite a wide variety of different species come through our doors. Like most years, small birds were at the top of our list with 90 seen in 2005. Canadian Geese came in second place with 30 seen, third place went to those pesky little squirrels with 24 seen. Another high for this year was the number of Turkey Vultures that needed our help. We look forward to another year of helping wildlife, and with your donations and continued assistance, 2006 will be another successful year.

Drum roll please……62 cats were adopted in 2005.
We can't thank you enough for all your kind words to your family and friends. Please keep us in mind if you or someone you know is looking for a new cat to add to the family. We adopt out kittens and adult cats, so we may have the perfect addition for your home!

IS YOUR PET REGISTERED?
Your dog needs to be registered in your county EVERY year. Many dogs receive a rabies vaccine that is good for three years, however your pet's registration with the county is only valid for one year. Please make sure your pet is registered yearly to avoid any possible fines.

If your pet is microchipped or tattooed that number needs to be registered. Our facility does provide both of these services but WE DO NOT register your pet. Please call our office if you are unsure of whom to contact. Please remember to update your information if you move or change your information.

THEY NEED BLOOD!
Eastern Veterinary Blood Bank needs your help. Their donors are dogs that live with their owners and come to our facility once every 6-8 weeks to donate blood. The EVBB (also known as "the cookie people") distributes over 24,000 units of blood and plasma each year. For more information please visit www.EVBB.com or call them at (410)224-BANK.
