In an effort to practice stress free handling our animal hospital uses a multitude of scents, colors, gestures, sounds, and food stuffs specific to dogs and cats. From pastel-colored towels, blue for dogs and green for cats, to pheromone sprays and calming music within our facility. We also use high reward treats, gentle restraint, lots of distraction and calming physical contact. It is an effort well worth the results seen within the moment and in conditioning for future visits. Patient, understanding, caring and attentive staff enable a positive outcome for the animals.
