Preventative Medicine

The best medicine is preventive medicine.  In order to maintain your pet’s health, we recommend annual preventive healthcare.  All pets should have at least one comprehensive physical examination to detect signs of disease and illness annually.  They should also be tested for internal parasites, and dewormed if needed.  Depending on the life stage and life style of your pet, vaccines may be given every one to three years.  All cats and dogs should be on heartworm, flea, and tick preventive year round.  At your pet’s annual examination we will to discuss your pet’s dental needs, exercise and training, and diet for your pet’s life stage.  Problems you have noticed, either physical or behavioral,  can be addressed with the veterinarian.
