Preventive Health Care
  • Beginning Preventive Care for Kittens:
    To ensure that your kitten receives complete preventive care to protect against disease, we recommend a series of visits.  During these visits, your kitten will receive all recommended vaccinations. In addition, a veterinarian will thoroughly examine your kitten to identify any potential problems.

    Because your kitten's health and wellbeing will depend on more than just vaccinations, we talk with you about caring for your kitten, behavior issues, and answer any questions you might have.

    Kitten series visits consist of:
    • Comprehensive physical exam
    • Intestinal parasite (worm) testing and treatment
    • Vaccinations:
      • Feline Calicivirus
      • Rabies
      • Panleukopenia
      • Feline Rhinotracheitis
      • Feline Leukemia (outdoor only)
    • Pet owner counseling regarding pet care, litterbox training, behavior problems and socialization
  • Maintaining the Health of Your Adult Cat:
    In order to maintain your cat's health, we recommend the following annual preventive healthcare:
    • Comprehensive physical exam to detect signs of disease, illness, or aging concerns semi annually
    • Intestinal parasite (worm) testing and treatment
    • Vaccinations:
      • Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus (upper respiratory diseases), Panleukopenia (feline distemper)
      • Feline Leukemia (outdoor only)
      • Rabies
  • Preventive Care for your Healthy Aging Wellness Cat
    In addition to traditional preventive care, the Healthy Aging Wellness Program (10 years or older) seeks to detect and manage health problems as early as possible. We recommend seeing your pet twice a year to provide optimum care and to detect disease early.
    • Comprehensive physical examination semi annually
    • Orthopedic examination
    • Dental check/cleaning
    • Intestinal parasite (worm) testing and treatment
    • Diagnostic screenings (blood chemistries, CBC, thyroid)
    • Blood pressure monitoring
    • Urinalysis
    • Consultation for age related changes

    To ensure that your puppy receives complete preventive care to protect against disease, we recommend a series of visits. During these visits, your puppy will receive all recommended vaccinations. In addition, a veterinarian will thoroughly examine your puppy to identify any potential problems.

    Because your puppy's health and wellbeing will depend on more than just vaccinations, we will talk with you about caring for your puppy, training and behavior concerns, and answers any questions you may have.

      • Distemper
      • Adenovirus
      • Leptospirosis
      • Parainfluenza
      • Canine Parvovirus
      • Bordetella
      • Rabies
    • Pet owner counseling regarding pet care, housebreaking, behavior problems, training and socialization
  • Maintaining the Health of Your Adult Dog:
    In order to maintain your dog's health, we recommend the following annual preventive healthcare:
    • Comprehensive physical exam to detect signs of disease, illness semi annually
    • Internal parasite (worm) testing and treatment
    • Heartworm testing and preventive
    • Vaccinations:
      • DHPP to protect against Distemper, Canine Hepatitus/Adenovirus Type 1 & 2, Canine Parainfluenza, Canine Parvovirus
      • Leptospirosis
      • Rabies
      • Bordetella vaccine for kennel cough
  • Preventive Care for your Healthy Aging Wellness Dog
